E is for Exercise

Once upon a time, I hated working out. Although I was very active, I had no desire to lift weights, run, stretch, or do anything else to improve my fitness. I still trained for football, but I remember thinking “once I’m done with football, I’m never going to work out.”

Well that day is long gone. As training became a normal part of my life, I started to enjoy exercise in many forms. Now I feel like a bum if I go a few days without a good hard workout. I appreciate the fact that I have an urge to exercise now, and I know this will benefit me as I start to wither away with age.

So here’s to blood, sweat, and tears. Ok… maybe just sweat.
